BENITA BLUE

BENITA BLUE is a 33.70-metre GRP semi-displacement motor yacht built by Evolution Yachts in 2005, with a refit completed in 2007, registered in the Cayman Islands. Her exterior and interior design are credited to Sam Sorgiovanni, the Australian designer known for clean, contemporary lines and efficient use of interior volume. At just over 100 gross tonnes, she is a compact but capable vessel powered by twin MTU engines giving her a top speed of 24 knots and a cruise speed of 15.

BENITA BLUE operates exclusively in Ibiza and the Balearics, which defines her charter profile clearly. She suits groups of up to 10 guests across four cabins — a configuration appropriate for families or friend groups who want a focused Balearic itinerary with a competent crew of five. She is not suited to guests planning to range across the wider Mediterranean, to those requiring more than four cabins, or to those who place high weight on a vessel's age relative to current build standards, given that she is now over 20 years from original delivery.

The Sam Sorgiovanni design has aged with some coherence — the exterior proportions remain functional and the semi-displacement hull delivers a practical compromise between passage-making efficiency and the ability to reach higher speeds when conditions permit. Her 1,200-nautical-mile range on a 16,500-litre fuel load is adequate for Balearic cruising, where inter-island distances are modest. At-anchor and underway stabilisers are fitted, a useful asset for the Balearic's sometimes exposed anchorages.

The deck jacuzzi and Starlink connectivity are contemporary additions that extend her operational relevance. Water toys include a Seabob F5, kayak, SUP paddleboards, inflatable water toy, wakeskate, water-skis, and snorkelling equipment — a solid complement for Ibiza-style charter days. Satellite TV and video on-demand are available for evenings at anchor.
