BLADE II

BLADE II is a 44-metre aluminium planing motor yacht built by MMGI Shipyard in 2009, comprehensively refitted in 2025, with exterior design by A Lab and interior by Michela Reverberi. Her aluminium hull and planing configuration place her in a distinct category — a large, fast vessel capable of 30 knots maximum speed, offering performance credentials unusual at this length. She operates across the central Mediterranean, with particular focus on the Amalfi Coast, Corsica, and Italy.

With accommodation for 10 guests across five cabins and a crew of eight, BLADE II is well proportioned for a close group of friends or a family who places a premium on speed and flexibility. The 2025 refit represents a current-standard vessel, and the A Lab exterior and Reverberi interior bring a design coherence appropriate for guests with considered tastes. She is not suited to guests prioritising long ocean passages — her 1,000 nautical mile range is deliberately focused — nor to those seeking a conventional, sedate pace.

The defining characteristic of BLADE II is her speed. A planing aluminium hull at 44 metres is a considered engineering choice — aluminium saves weight relative to steel, which the planing hull then converts into performance. At 14 knots cruise, she operates efficiently; at 30 knots maximum, she covers ground in a way that no displacement yacht at this size can match. The 2025 refit ensures the underlying machinery and systems support that performance at a current standard.

Access to the water is central to the onboard experience. Seabob Kayago 7 units, a jet ski, paddleboards, a jetsurf, water skis, wakeboards, and towable toys are all carried. A sun deck, sunpads, and a large swimming platform extend the social space. The vessel also holds an elevator and is wheelchair accessible — practical considerations for a broader range of guest needs.

The provisional rating is based on available public data, reflecting acceptable standards across safety documentation, maintenance records, and operational protocols.
