BOLD

BOLD is an 85.30-metre aluminium semi-displacement motor yacht built by SilverYachts to their Silver Loft model in 2019 and refitted in 2024, registered under the Marshall Islands flag. Exterior design is by Espen Oeino, whose elongated, low-profile aesthetic is a consistent thread across SilverYachts' output, and interiors were delivered by Vain Interiors in collaboration with the yard. Powered by twin MTU engines, BOLD achieves a cruising speed of 16 knots and a maximum of 23 knots — exceptional for a vessel of 85 metres — with a transatlantic-capable range of 5,500 nautical miles. Her shallow draft of 2.80 metres for a hull of this length is a notable operational advantage, opening anchorages that deeper-drafted yachts cannot access.

BOLD accommodates 12 guests in eight cabins, with a crew of 20 — a generous crew-to-guest ratio that allows a high standard of service without formality feeling imposed. As a charter yacht, she is best suited to guests who want genuine performance alongside scale: the ability to cover long distances quickly, access a helicopter for transfers or sightseeing, and arrive at destinations ahead of less capable vessels. Her charter regions encompass the full Mediterranean — Croatia, Greece, Turkey, the Balearics, France, Italy, and the Adriatic — alongside the Caribbean, Cuba, Antigua, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, and Saint Martin. She is not well suited to guests seeking an intimate or understated experience; BOLD's character is unapologetically capable and well-resourced, and those looking for a small-crew, relaxed atmosphere would be better served elsewhere.

What distinguishes BOLD is the combination of genuine offshore speed, a helipad and helicopter hangar with a chartered AW109 Grand helicopter available, and the overall scale of her specification. SilverYachts builds are known for structural rigidity and efficiency in aluminium, and the semi-displacement hull form allows BOLD to maintain higher speeds across a wider range of sea states than a conventional full-displacement vessel. The 2024 refit keeps her systems current.

The onboard experience is extensive. A deck jacuzzi, hammam, spa, outdoor cinema, and dance floor indicate a programme designed for entertaining as much as cruising. The toy inventory includes two 300hp Sea-Doo waverunners, laser sailing dinghies, kitesurfing equipment, scuba diving gear, and an inflatable jet-ski dock. At-anchor stabilisers, outdoor bar, and underwater lights round out a specification that works as well in a busy marina as it does at a remote anchorage.
