BRAVADO

BRAVADO is a 44.91-metre steel motor yacht built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 2004 and comprehensively refitted in 2024, registered under the Cayman Islands flag. Exterior design is by Reymond Langton Design and interiors by Bizzozero Cassina Architects. Abeking & Rasmussen is among the most respected yards in northern Europe, with a record in both sailing and motor yacht construction that spans more than a century, and BRAVADO benefits from that heritage in structural quality and build integrity. Her twin MTU engines provide a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles, supporting both Mediterranean and transatlantic Caribbean seasons.

BRAVADO accommodates up to 12 guests across six cabins with a crew of 11 — a crew complement that allows dedicated steward, chef, and deck teams to operate simultaneously without overlap. As a charter yacht, she is best suited to groups prioritising interior quality and considered design over speed or novelty: the Bizzozero Cassina interior programme is an unusual and distinctive choice that gives BRAVADO a more architectural character than most vessels of comparable age and size. Her charter regions cover the western Mediterranean — Amalfi Coast, Corsica, France, the French Riviera, Monaco, Sardinia — plus the Caribbean including Antigua, Bahamas, Saint Martin, St Barts, and the Virgin Islands. She is not well suited to guests looking for the fastest vessel on the water; at 10 knots cruise, BRAVADO is a deliberate, settled cruiser, and the 2024 refit is best understood as restoring and enhancing what is already a well-built platform rather than transforming it.

The 2024 refit on a 2004 A&R hull is a meaningful endorsement. At 20-plus years of age, the structural quality of the original construction becomes an advantage — yards like A&R build steel hulls that age more gracefully than lesser competitors, and a modern refit on a sound platform produces a vessel that is genuinely competitive with newer builds in terms of guest experience. The Reymond Langton exterior has clean, timeless lines that do not date as sharply as more fashion-driven designs of the same period.

The onboard experience leans active: a Yamaha waverunner, flyboard, two Seabobs, paddleboards, two wakeboards, two waterski sets, and an inflatable water slide support an energetic programme. The deck jacuzzi, sun deck, exterior bar, and BBQ anchor the quieter end of the day. Underway stabilisers ensure comfortable passages. The gym provides a practical option for guests on longer charters.
